Chanel 22 bag QC: there’s a thread for the 19, the 25, the Boy and the Classic, but nothing for the 22, and it’s a very different bag. Soft, slouchy, chain threaded through the top, a hanging coin charm and metal lettering. What should a QC check? Pros of the model: soft, light, roomy. Confidence from photos varies by point, so I’ve marked it. **Shape and slouch (medium confidence)** - PASS: the body collapses softly from the top, with even folds on both sides. - FLAG: stiff walls that stand up on their own, or a lopsided slump to one side. Ask for a photo of the bag set down unstuffed, and one held by the chain. **Quilting depth (high confidence)** - PASS: soft, puffy diamonds with even stitch lines. - FLAG: flat quilting or diamonds of different sizes across the front. Score out of 10 for how often each detail decides a QC: - **Metal lettering: 8/10.** Letter spacing, thickness and finish against a reference of the same size. Uneven spacing or blurry edges are the common giveaway. Myth to debunk: “heavy lettering = good”. Weight says little; shape and spacing matter. - **Coin charm: 7/10.** Round, clean CC, crisp edges, even finish on both faces. - **Chain threading: 6/10.** The chain passes through the eyelets around the top; check the eyelets are evenly spaced and the leather woven through the chain lies flat. Which do people photograph least? ---

The inside, probably! What about the sizes? Mini, small, medium, large, and every photo looks the same size. ---

**Sizes** Mini and small are the everyday shoulder sizes. Medium and large are genuinely big totes. Since the bag slouches, it looks smaller in photos than it carries. **For QC** Ask for a photo with a tape measure across the base. Proportions of the lettering and charm should match a reference of the same size; scaled-down hardware is a common issue on minis. ---

One more myth: “slouch means low quality”. The 22 is meant to slouch. Judge whether it slouches evenly, not whether it slouches at all. ---

Bag set down unstuffed, front and side. 2. Held by the chain. 3. Close-ups: metal lettering, coin charm (both faces), eyelets with chain. 4. Inside: pouch, snap, lining. 5. Tape measure across the base. **Checks** - Slouch: soft and even; not stiff, not lopsided. - Quilting: puffy, even diamonds and stitch lines. - Lettering: spacing, thickness and edges vs a same-size reference. - Coin charm: crisp CC, clean edges, even finish. - Chain: evenly spaced eyelets, leather lying flat in the chain. - Hardware scaled correctly for the size, especially minis. **Sizes:** mini and small for shoulder carry; medium and large are large totes.
