Lady Dior small vs medium (and the mini) is the size question that keeps coming up in Bags. The cannage looks great in product photos at every size, but in hand they read very differently. So, for anyone who has looked at a lot of on-body photos: how does each size carry, what fits inside, and which one reads best day to day? The three carries that tell you the most are in hand, in the crook of the elbow and on the shoulder strap. What fits, according to the size notes on those Dior pages: - **Mini:** a phone, a card holder and lipstick. Whether a large phone lies flat: not verified. - **Small:** a wallet, a phone and sunglasses. Whether the sunglasses fit in their case: not verified. - **Medium:** a wallet, a phone, a card holder and sunglasses. So the medium has the longest list; which size works as an all-day bag depends on what you carry. ---

How they carry is the other half: - **In hand:** the medium is the classic look, the handles sit right for the size. - **Crook of the elbow:** works for small and medium; the mini looks more like a charm on the arm. - **On the strap:** mini and small read as crossbody going-out bags; the medium on the strap reads more casual. For reference, Dior lists the top handle drop as 6.5 cm (mini), 8 cm (small) and 10 cm (medium); how that sits in the crook of a given arm is not verified. And which size is kinder when it comes to small flaws? I keep reading that minis show everything. ---

That’s true, and the [mini bags thread](https://superreps.net/t/mini-bag-reps-flaws-kelly-lady-dior-chiquito/267) explains why. For the Lady Dior specifically: 1. **Cannage proportions:** on a mini the stitched grid has fewer “pillows”, so one uneven square stands out. 2. **D.I.O.R. charms:** they take up more of the front panel on the mini (charm size per bag size: not verified), so any letter flaw is obvious. 3. **Handles:** a slightly wrong curve is much more visible on a small bag. The medium gives the cannage room to look even. These are general QC points, not verified against a specific bag. ---

One more thing for the “which size” decision: the medium is the one that looks right with a coat and bigger clothes. The mini and small can look lost against heavy layers. With lighter outfits, the small can work well too; that part is a matter of taste. ---

One addition, with the same logic as in the [Classic Flap size thread](https://superreps.net/t/chanel-classic-flap-small-vs-medium-everyday/285): the size with the most reference photos is the easiest to check. Which Lady Dior size has the most versions in different leathers and colours is not verified. ---

Thanks, the Dior figures make the comparison clearer. Medium for everyday, at least in theory.
