Editorial disclosure: this guide was prepared for SuperReps by an administration-managed editorial profile. It is not a personal purchase or a first-hand product review.
Before the first wash, save a record of what you have. It makes a later fit or care question much easier to answer without guessing.
Photograph the label and baseline
Capture the care instructions, fibre description and the garment laid flat. Record the measurements that matter to you using the same points each time. Hide order references or personal details. If there is no readable care label, do not substitute a confident washing recipe from a similar-looking item.
Read the whole instruction set
The washing tub, triangle, drying square, iron and professional-care circle refer to different steps. A wash temperature is not permission to use the same heat for drying or ironing. Check the actual garment’s instructions and consult the symbol reference below if a sign is unclear.
Keep the first-wash record
Write down the programme, temperature, product used and drying method. Measure again only when the garment is fully dry, using the original method. Photograph any change rather than relying on memory.
If dimensions changed, report both values and the method; do not automatically blame a factory or claim every garment will behave the same way. For an unreadable label, delicate finish or conflicting instructions, ask the supplier or a textile-care professional before proceeding.
